Maple Respiratory Centre was a project we worked on with Mint Projects general contractor, specializing in commercial renovations and tenant improvements. We worked with our client to find the best product mix for all spaces used by clients and medical practitioners. The effect of colour on mood was a big consideration for the client, while accomodating an open-plan style which is a trend in medical offices. Like every other design aspect of a medical office, the flooring system impacts the quality of care both on the eyes and the feet – there had to be a level of underfoot comfort as well as sound-dampening and pleasing colours. Of course, with a diverse clientelle, we also had to balance the needs and likes/dislikes of an entire audience of people.
